Other organizations list research guidelines that do not meet criteria of relevance for inclusion in the Directory. They include:
- EQUATOR Network: An international initiative that seeks to enhance reliability and value of medical research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting of research studies.
- Institute of Medicine: An independent, nonprofit organization that works outside of government to provide unbiased and authoritative advice to decision makers and the public.
- Minimum Information for Biological and Biomedical Investigations (MIBBI): A project designed 1) to raise awareness of, and afford more straightforward attention to, a wide range of checklists in the biological and biomedical sciences and 2) to offer a Foundry where communities 2a) can jointly examine ways to refactor checklists, 2b) can develop a suite of self-consistent, clearly-bounded, orthogonal, integrable checklists, and 2c) can make them available to the community.
- National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research: An organization devoted to developing systems for applying rigorous standards of evidence in describing, assessing, and disseminating research and development outcomes.
- National Library of Medicine: A government agency that collects materials and provides information and research services in all areas of biomedicine and health care.
